My *Quick* Take:

Yay! SEVEN more NEW Christmas Movies to add to our must-watch list! (Please know - I have not previously viewed these films; always check ratings before viewing with your family.)

I am delighted to see Laura Bell Bundy return for a new UP Christmas movie this year! She was absolutely adorable in UP's "Season's Greetings" last year! (however, "Season's Greetings" does have two instances of language- so, please beware of that! Minus that, I loved it!) And, I sure hope I enjoy her new one, too! It looks like fun and with a bakery theme... delicious! Also stars Brendon Zub, who you may recognize as a co-star from Hallmark's "Hearts of Christmas" or "Sleigh Bells Ring," etc...!

Fans of the drama series "Ties that Bind" will be so happy to see Kelli Williams and Jonathan Scarfe star in "Christmas Solo" together. They are also familiar to Hallmark fans - Kellie having starred in "A Boyfriend for Christmas" and Jonathan Scarfe "Angel of Christmas"!

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" fans are sure to recognize Ramon, actor Zak Santiago, in "Christmas Princess"! Plus, Greyston Holt from "The Christmas Secret" and more!!!

I hope we will all enjoy what's coming UP - on UP - this Christmas!!!

Blessings!!! Net

Forced to take the intercontinental trip by train, and determined to chronicle his adventure, Tom finds himself westbound with a variety of characters. On the train is renowned movie producer Max (Glover), Max’s script doctor and protégé Eleanor (Paisley), and Agnes (Cusack) who occupies the cabin opposite Tom’s and seems to know his business better than he does. THE BEACH HOUSE - a Hallmark Hall of Fame original film starring Andie MacDowell, Minka Kelly, and Chad Michael Murray

PRESS RELEASE:

‘THE BEACH HOUSE,’

A HALLMARK HALL OF FAME ORIGINAL,

STARRING ANDIE MACDOWELL,
MINKA KELLY, AND
CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY,

BEGINS PRODUCTION FOR PREMIERE EXCLUSIVELY ON

HALLMARK CHANNEL, APRIL 2018

Based on New York Times’ Bestselling Author Mary Alice Monroe’s

Timeless Tale of Love and Sacrifice

STUDIO CITY, CA – Thursday, October 26, 2017 – Hallmark Channel announces Hallmark Hall of Fame original film, “The Beach House,” starring Andie MacDowell (“Cedar Cove,” “Magic Mike XXL”), Minka Kelly (“Titans,” “Away & Back”), and Chad Michael Murray (“Agent Carter,” “Sun Records”) has begun production for World Premiere on Hallmark Channel in May, 2018.  (update!) April, 2018.

In “The Beach House,” Caretta “Cara” Rutledge thought she’d left her Southern roots and troubled family far behind. But an unusual request from her mother Lovie comes just as Cara’s own life is spinning out of control causing her to return to the scenic Lowcountry of her childhood summers. Before long, the rhythms of the island open her heart in wonderful ways as she repairs the family beach house, becomes a bona fide “turtle lady,” and renews old acquaintances long thought lost. During one devastating storm, Cara will help Lovie save hundreds of sea turtles from certain death and learn some of life’s real truths in the process: lasting love requires sacrifice, family is forever, and mistakes of the past can be forgiven.

“‘The Beach House’ is a timeless tale about the ebb and flow of life, love, and relationships, and it is about learning to surrender completely to live richly in the moment,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming, Crown Media Family Networks.

“We have an extraordinary cast and a gorgeous tapestry of a story that is particularly timely, given the recent devastation hurricanes have caused. These events have certainly had a horrific impact on both residents and wildlife, including the habitats of loggerhead sea turtles, featured in the film,” Vicary concluded.

“I love the connection to nature, preservation and saving turtles, and so I am grateful to Hallmark Channel, our wonderful cast, Dan Wigutow, Sue Tenney, and one of my favorite authors Mary Alice Monroe,” said Andie MacDowell.

“I have been to the beach many times to watch the loggerhead turtles hatch and it’s a powerful human-to-nature experience. I am thankful to be part of not only great storytelling, but also an advocate for nature. The Beach House is full of passion and romance both for people and the land they love, and helps us to understand that connecting with loved ones and to nature is the greatest part of our adventure here,” MacDowell concluded.

“The Beach House” was adapted for television by Maria Nation and Tippi & Neal Dobrofsky from Mary Alice Monroe’s bestselling novel series. Executive Producers are Dan Wigutow and Stephen Harmaty.

-- HALLMARK CHANNEL --

My *Quick* Take:

I have heard from many delighted fans of Mary Alice Monroe's books (see here!) who are eagerly awaiting for this production to premiere next year on the Hallmark Channel. In 2015, word first came that this book would be made into a Hallmark movie. As time passed, I know many of us wondered if it would still take place, but... here it comes now (next year!) as they are finally in the filming process!

Minka Kelly and Chad Michael Murray, like Andie MacDowell, bring to the movie their own unique talents and fan base. I'm sure "The Beach House" will do quite well when it premieres as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, in April of 2018. (My guess is... most likely it will premiere before Mother's Day - in order to advertise Mother's Day cards at your local Hallmark Gold Crown store!)

Thank you to all the lovely fans of Mary Alice Monroe's books - and Mary Alice, herself, who previously stopped by "It's a Wonderful Movie" to say hello and share their excitement and love of this particular book becoming a movie! (see here!)

Blessings to you all, Net
